Implement Downloadable Products in Magento 1.5.0.1

Project Description:

I am trying to implement the purchase of a downloadable product in Magento 1.5.0.1, however I am having a problem when I add the product to the cart. I get the error: "* Please specify product link(s)." The 'Add to Cart' button also does not appear on the product details page.

It looks like it is a known bug in Magento 1.5.0.1 core and I am looking for someone to implement a fix for it and get it working.

It looks like a known bug http://www.magentocommerce.com/bug-tracking/issue?issue=10864 - I have tried to apply the fix but it is not working and I get a 500 internal server error when viewing the cart or loading the product details page.

The site is an established site with a fair amount customisation within the template so I am not keen to upgrade the Magento instance.

Looking for a quick turnaround here, so please no generic bids, and only bid if you can actually do the job! You must have experience with downloadable products in Magento and an provide a list of sites that you have worked on implementing Downloadable Products.
