I am a freelance writer, journalist, and blogger and I have been in love with this profession for more than two years now. My passion for writing started when I was elementary. My imagination is too much a wanderer to be enclosed within my brain, thus, as early as nine, I decided to think outside my classroom. Writing composition and themed-essays for my English subject was my constant favorite - a favorite which did me a lot of good. When I was in grade five, my English teacher approached me and asked if I could join the school publication. As it is my habit to always say "yes," I gladly accepted the offer and I found myself one of the contributing writers. When I was grade six, I was promoted associate editor. And that was when my love affair with writing blossomed.
I joined a national storytelling competition, with my prowess and style enough to garner me an honorable spot in the top 5. I had a long, four-year hiatus when I was in high school. But it did not kill the passion within me to write and I used our theme and essay writings in English as my sole window to express my thoughts. I had plans of joining the school paper but it didn't materialize until I was first year college. When I graduated, I was the editor in chief. And from then on, I continued writing and I never stopped, even to this day.
Ultimately, I found my love for writing not just a sort of hobby, but also a way of earning a living. Two years ago, I accepted my first writing offer. Now, I still write. And I surely see myself to write until the end of my life.
