I need a timeless, classic-style logo designed alongside a matching business card layout. The company name, tag-line, and any other copy will be supplied as soon as the project starts, but for now assume a short business name and a single-line slogan.
Style
• The overall feel must be unmistakably classic—think solid typography, balanced proportions, and a sense of enduring quality rather than trend-driven graphics.
Colour palette
• I have not fixed colours yet and would like your direction. Please suggest two or three complementary palettes that would suit a classic look; I’m open to black & white, rich metallic tones, or any tasteful combination you recommend.
Logo specifics
• I did not lock myself into text-only, icon-plus-text, or monogram options, so propose what you think best conveys a premium, established brand. If you see a monogram working well on small formats (e.g. social media avatar), include that rationale.
Business card
• Standard 3.5" × 2" horizontal card, with front and back designs. Front should feature the logo prominently; back may host contact details and possibly the logo mark in a subtler treatment.
Deliverables
• Vector logo files (AI, SVG, PDF) plus high-res PNG/JPG
• Font details and colour codes (Pantone, CMYK, RGB, HEX)
• Print-ready business card files (AI or IDML + press-ready PDF)
• A short brand-usage note covering clear space, minimum sizes, and colour variations
Acceptance criteria
• Logo remains clear and legible at 1-inch width
• Colours reproduce accurately when converted to CMYK for print
• Business card PDF passes a standard pre-flight check (3 mm bleed, 300 dpi, fonts outlined or embedded)
