Straws are made of plants, like wheat and reed and bamboo.
Straw is a are basically a stem of a post harvested wheat or reed plant, that has been cut, washed and sterilized - no additives or chemicals added. Straws are durable and don't get soggy. They can be composted and are biodegradable.
So it is a natural harmless product that can be used as alternative to plastic straws and also soggy paper straws (not sustainable as they are mostly made of trees).
