  Good morning, Elizabeth. So glad you finally got the logo you wanted. A major effort on your part!. I wondered if you would mind if I put my entry with the Blooming Bechstein in my portfolio, as I rather like it. As you are not using it, perhaps that will be OK. But I felt it courteous to ask. Ben

  Hi, everyone. This is very difficult for me. Over 100 entries and no-one has submitted a logo that I like. Now about the flyer -Just to let you know my thoughts - one function of the flyer is to be read without going up close to it. So 'What I do', 'Where I am' and 'My Phone number' are the most important things to read from afar. The flyer needs to get the person's attention with the graphics and then make this information easy to read so they can quickly write it down or take a phone photo easily. I have rejected flyers that don't do this. Reminder - the logo does not have to contain the slogan.

     I don't understand what "lifetime my entry" means. I appreciate your efforts and I like your design, I think it will look very good on a business card and it should be just a small step from there to a good flyer. Let's keep at it.

  Oh and one more point, I am trying to reinvent my studio as I have moved from the forest where I had 45 students to the coast where I don't know anybody and have only just started with 5 students. My last flyer in the school newsletter gave an abysmal result so I have stopped doing my own design (lol) and I am looking for something that I wouldn't be able to create using Microsoft Word or Paint. I am also trying to become more relevant to this techno/social media age hence the use of iPads in my lessons. I will shortly be going online for my enrolments, invoices, receipting etc and will be looking for a wed design eventually. However I have to earn some money first and for that I need better advertising to get more students.

  Hi everyone, a couple of you are asking about my course in order to understand what I do better for more relevant designs. I am a piano teacher, I teach in my studio at home and at Primary Schools. I teach preschool children aged 5-6, Primary school children age 5-12, teenagers, adults, retirees. I prepare students for exams if that is what they want. I teach one-on-one lessons at the piano - I have a grand piano Yamaha G3. I have been teaching full time for 15 years and off and on for 30 years. I teach from a classical perspective but I use modern songs where appropriate. Good foundations and good technique provide for longer lasting skills on the piano. I teach theory and aural skills, ensemble playing, duets, trios, singers who want to accompany themselves. I actually don't have a course as such because each person learns in a different way and each person needs material that works for them. What else can I say? I teach people to play the piano and to enjoy the process. Thx
