We are seeking designers to create original artwork for multiple collections that require characters, backgrounds and wording. The primary factor in the award decision is whether or not it is the artistic style we’re looking for. The design does NOT have to be complete, looking for a sample from the designer of what they’re capable of.
This is for a print shop that will need designs for many products. We are looking to build long term relationships with 1-3 designers, so multiple winners may be selected. Once winners are selected, we can negotiate prices for contracted work.
Please read all of the information below and review the design examples prior to submitting.
The types of products we will be creating for the shop are as follows:
- Planners and journals
- Greeting cards
- Digital templates and printables
- Wall art and posters
- Bookmarks
- Affirmation cards
The design aesthetic is modern and boho. Designs should be clean, beautiful and luxurious.
Our target audience is black and African American. We do NOT want characters to be complete with much detail, less is more! Both full body and partial body graphics are accepted. Diversity of age, body type, skin shades, hairstyle, hair texture is allowed and preferred, especially when group images are created.
Requirements
1. Designs must be original artwork by the contest participant
2. Must be delivered in an Adobe Illustrator (.AI file)
3. Each aspect of the design must be in separate layers
If any of the above is not adhered by, it may result in revoking your design acceptance.

Hi Pedro, thanks for the comment. There are plenty of illustration jobs on here offering less. I am not increasing the prize for the following reasons:
1. The primary factor in my award decision is whether or not it is the artistic style I’m looking for. The design does not to be complete, looking for a sample from the designer.
2. This is for a print shop that will need designs for many products. I am looking to build long term relationships with 1-3 designers. Once winners are selected, we can negotiate prices for contracted work.
