Kurzbeschreibung des Wettbewerbs
UI Design Contest: 7" Touch Alarm Panel (Premium, Minimal, Original)
ALL Ai GENERATAED ENTRIES WILL BE REJECTED, PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY Ai GENERATED ENTRIES - Thank you.
1) Project Goal
Create a brand-new UI design for our new, unreleased 7-inch touch alarm panel (currently under development).
This is not a redesign of an existing product — you are designing the main home screen UI from scratch.
The UI must feel:
Premium (high-end consumer electronics)
Modern, minimalist, clean
Extremely easy to understand (for all user types)
Original (must not look like a typical copy of alarm panels on the market)
2) Screen Size & Format (Mandatory)
Resolution: 1024 × 600 px (landscape)
Optimized for a 7" touchscreen
Keep critical elements away from the extreme edges (safe margins + comfortable touch use)
3) Minimum Required Elements (Must Be Included)
A) Main Time & Date Module (Required)
Must display:
Large clock in 24-hour format (e.g., 08:05)
Day abbreviation (e.g., MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN)
Month
Day of month (date number)
Year
Examples (valid formats)
You may design the layout freely, but it must clearly support formats like:
08:05
MON, JUN 28, 2026
21:47
TUE, FEB 12, 2026
00:03
SAT, DEC 06, 2026
Notes:
Exact typography, spacing, and arrangement is up to you — it must be highly readable and feel premium.
B) Weather & Temperature Module (Required)
Must display (as in the example concept):
Current temperature
Min / Max temperature for today
Weather icon indicating today’s conditions
(sun/clouds/rain/snow etc.)
4) Required Buttons (6 total — must exist on the main screen)
The UI must include these six buttons with these exact English labels:
Log
Settings
SOS
Arm
Disarm
Home Arm
UX requirements:
Buttons must be easy to tap on a 7” display (comfortable touch targets)
The button area must look premium and intentional (not generic tiles)
Clear visual separation to avoid mis-taps
5) Icon Pack (Mandatory to Use)
We will upload an icon pack that must be used in the design for these buttons:
Arm (active + inactive)
Disarm (active + inactive)
Stay Arm / Home mode (active + inactive)
Log (single icon)
Settings (single icon)
Active vs. Inactive behavior (Required)
Use the Active icon when the corresponding mode is selected
Example: Arm selected → Active Arm icon
Use the Inactive icon when the mode is not selected
SOS icon (Designer creates)
The SOS icon is NOT included in the icon pack.
The designer must create an SOS icon that matches the same visual line style as the provided icons
(stroke thickness, simplicity, proportions, premium look)
6) System Status & Top System Icons (Always Visible)
A) Clear System Mode Indicator (Required)
There must be a highly visible, always-on indicator showing the current system mode:
Log
Settings
Arm
Disarm
Home Arm
SOS
Notes:
Color choices are free as long as the mode is instantly recognizable
The indicator must be readable at a glance and feel premium
B) Small System Icons (Required)
Include these always visible system icons:
Battery icon
WiFi icon
Charging icon (shows charging or not)
LTE signal icon (classic mobile signal bars)
C) Top-left mini elements (Required)
In the top-left corner, include:
A small mini clock
A small mini status icon (simple system-style icon)
7) Logo Requirement (Contest Phase Placeholder)
A logo must be integrated into the design.
For contest entries:
Use a placeholder horizontal logo
Five letters only
Logo text should be: SECURE
(We will provide the real logo + brand assets to the selected winner.)
8) Style & Design Direction (Very Important)
Must feel like:
Premium consumer electronics UI
Minimal but confident
Calm and safe, not aggressive
Clean typography and spacing
High readability and clear hierarchy
The SOS button must be clearly identifiable, but still premium.
Avoid cheap-looking “panic button” styling while keeping it unmistakable.
9) Do’s and Don’ts (Mandatory)
✅ Do
Use a clear layout hierarchy (mode/status first, then actions, then info)
Keep the interface simple and instantly understandable
Use consistent spacing, alignment, and a clean grid
Maintain a calm, premium look with excellent readability
Design for touch: large enough tap areas, clear separation
Ensure status/mode is visible and understandable in 1 second
❌ Don’t
NO CHATGPT OR OTHER AI GENERATED ENTRIES.
Do not copy or imitate existing alarm panel UIs
No dated UI patterns (old Android look, heavy bevels, excessive gradients)
No cluttered dashboards, tiny text, or overloaded icon sets
Don’t hide critical status information behind taps or menus
Don’t introduce extra complexity that makes it harder to use
10) Deliverables
Required for contest submission:
High-quality PNG of the full UI
Size: 1024×600
Sharp, clean, presentation-ready
Required from the contest winner:
Editable Figma file
Editable Adobe Illustrator (.AI) file
(If you use another tool, you must still deliver editable handover files in Figma + AI format.)
11) How We Choose a Winner
We will select the winner based on:
Premium look & modern minimalism
Clarity for all user types
Originality (doesn’t resemble common market designs)
Typography, spacing, and layout quality
Instant understanding of system mode and actions
High-quality use of the provided icon pack + matching SOS icon
Optional (Nice-to-have, not required)
A small alternative layout variation (optional)
Not required — we value quality over quantity.
