https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81IEU8ob7uL._AC_SL1500_.jpg
Specs
Final size: 4 inches (width) x 3 inches (height)
Orientation: Landscape
Print-ready setup: CMYK, 0.125" bleed on all sides, safe margins respected
Deliverables:
.AI source file (fully editable)
.PDF print-ready
Exported PNG/JPG mockup preview
Card Content Layout (match the general logic of the example)
Front side should include:
Knot Name (large, bold at top)
Difficulty indicator (simple 1–5 or Easy/Med/Hard)
Uses (1–2 short bullet points)
Step-by-step visuals (primary focus)
Numbered steps (typically 4–6 steps)
Each step includes a simple line illustration + a short caption
Optional: Quick tip box (small callout)
Illustration Style Requirements
Clean, minimal, high-contrast line art suitable for small print
Rope/line should be easy to follow (consistent stroke weight)
Use arrows and step numbers clearly
Avoid clutter: prioritize legibility at 4" x 3"
File Requirements (Important)
Build with editable vector shapes (not raster drawings)
Use global swatches and a simple consistent style
Text must remain editable (use common fonts or outline only if necessary at final export)
Output
Provide one finished card design matching the above, based on the reference style, with a clean professional look and print-ready formatting.
For the example card, do this
Figure 8 Follow-Through Knot
Use: Primary knot for tying the rope into your harness.
When not to use: To join two ropes for a rappel.
Knot picture: https://www.101knots.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Tying-a-Figure-8-Follow-Through.jpg
Instructions:
1. Tie a loose figure 8 near the rope end.
2. Wrap the rope end around the support.
3. Retrace the figure 8 with the rope end, following the same path back through the knot.
4. Keep the strands side-by-side as you thread through.
5. Bring the end out next to the standing part.
6. Pull the standing part and the loop to tighten.
There will be 20 designs per deck. I will have 5 decks total.
