  @pbdg I had designed something very similar but with the custom Myriad Pro Black Italic I created, except the letter-forms were overlapping with the color shift. I should have submitted it, perhaps it would have won

     thanks much, I used Myriad Pro: Black Italic. Carefully kerned the logotype, then I created outlines and designed my own 'a' to flow smoother than what existed in the typeface already.
