Kurzbeschreibung des Wettbewerbs

I need a logo designed.

It's for a friend's micro-business called "TechEd"

"TechEd".... is a shortcut for "Technical Education"...

He seems to always write the name as "TechEd" but the logo could be in caps (I guess maybe) - "TECHED"... BUT... there would need to be some way of ensuring that the TECH and the ED are clearly not the same word.


Although registered as a LTD company a while back, TechEd hasn't really traded much yet. TechEd is currently just a one-man-band company. BUT, he is looking to work with some pretty big educational players in the UK and is well regarded in the Further Education space. So, the logo needs to look nice and corporate. Sensible. Strong. Confident. AND... His current conversations with people are all around Cyber Security, Data, IOT, Computer Programming and attracting kids into the tech side of education. So... some kind of techy design would be needed too.

Think IBM, Oracle, Dell kind of tech but with a bit more youth, energy and drive.

From a colour perspective, I guess it needs to be strong, (no pastels) and limited to 1 or 2 colours.

Logo design needs to be solid, safe, clean etc Less is often more for these things.
AND... A solid, Sans-Serif font.... No Times-New-Roman (i.e. SEFIF) fonts... P L E A S E !!!

--------------------------- VERY IMPORTANT NOTE ---------------------------
Another thing that you MUST adhere to. Please. You MUST submit the logo on a white background in its "normal format"... i.e. as if it was just on a white piece of paper. I will instantly reject ALL and ANY logos that are presented in metallics, on a wall mock-ups, embossed, etc or ANY effects on them. The ONLY "mockups" that I may accept, is if it is on a plain headed paper or business card environment.

    Multiple versions of the same logo will be rejected. Please don't do this. It is wasting your time and mine. I have been in design for 20 years. I just want to see the logo on plain white background. Please. Thank you.

      Thank you for sharing. Yes... This is exactly the kind of thing I don't want. I feel £150 is a good competition value for people to put a bit of effort in and not just churn out copy-copy logos... Thank you Bindu.
