Congrats to the winner - it's a good drawing - but I must say I prefer roosters without shoes because his toesies must be very cramped in there :)

Hi,
Could you please comment on #19 please?- 13 years ago

Hello, #19 Makes me laugh when I see him (funny character) but again doesnt connect with our audience very well. He wouldnt be able to fit into a crawl space to pull wires! I appreciate the submission.

Hello, thanks for your submission. While the design is good, the character doesnt connect very well with our target customer. We sell to Cable TV & audio/video installers who are a little more rough around the edges than this character. Would be great for kids but not our customer. Hope that explains it well.

I've submitted an unfinished drawing - if you like it Iet me know and I'll work it up to an acceptable standard. If you don't like then I shan't have wasted time :)

HI there. I appreciate the submission but he's pretty far from the character were looking for so I wont waste any more of your time! Thanks for giving it a shot though!

No problems - I did enjoy drawing him - I think there's a lot of Foghorn leghorn in him LOL. Good luck with finding your ideal 'chook' :)

Hi,
Please check # 15 and #17 with modifications on color, belt buckle, and tail. #16 is just a shot on how it looks in your web :-). I hope it gets closer to your expectation.
Thanks.- 13 years ago

Love his outfit, love the detail but he still looks a little too tough/intimidating. He'd make a great tatoo but we're trying to make him seem approachable and fun, such as #25 and #23 Im not sure how to describe what would have to change for him to look that way. This is a tough one, I really like your design just in a different context as is.

Hi, thanks for your submission also. Again, good design but it would be impossible to guess what this rooster did for a profession by looking at him whereas designs like the ones we set to the highest stars are good at explaining this.

Darn it - my drawing has a tee shirt with the client's logo on it matching #13 ...now where is that eraser?

I didn't want my drawing to be the same - there is all-together far too much copying going on already.

Wow another great submission, thank you!! I very much like the detail and the full body, this is great. Even though this rooster looks tough and cool, I think a more fun loving character is going to match better with our brand. Could you try making a smiling version with less of an evil brow? Also, the one thing that no one has really done yet is bring our brand into the character. If this figure was seen stand-alone, there is nothing that ties him to our brand/identity. Could you visit installerparts.com and see if you can come up with some ways to bring those colors into the design? We have to be careful not to make him dissappear in the color scheme so maybe a purple coveralls with the same orange feathers to add contrast? Another tip might be to use our wire stripper icon as a belt buckle. Doesnt have to be purple but might look cool on his belt. Last thought is to drop the tail feathers, I think the character will still look great without! Thank you so much

This is right in line with what we are looking for. Very good interpretation of our requirements, thank you! I would like to see a full version of the character (full body) but so far this is my favorite even without! Only changes I would request are subtle colors etc to be cohesive with our website brand but I wont trouble you with those now, they would be simple. Great character

Sorry for the delay in my response, I had to run out and didnt have a chance to make a comment. Ill try to be candid with my feedback to be fair with contestants. This one looks much closer to the concept I had in mind, very much like a cartoon figure but lacks a bit in creativity when it comes to holding the cables. I really want to develop a character with personality that matches our brand and this looks like a chicken giving me the thumbs up with cables coming out of his hand. #3 design is a great example of personality if you need to see what Im referring to. That looks like an installer rooster, someone we could use on our advertisments that enhanced our brand. Thank you for your submission and look forward to any additional revisions.

Great drawing! To clarify we we're hoping for a more vector/cartoon style character and less of an actual drawing. Search for Hostgator's character, MailChimp, or something like a looney toons style figure. This is a wonderful start though so we'll see what other entries we get!
