I am the author and instructor of a series of professional therapy training manuals under my company **Touchstone – A Wellness Journey**. I am seeking an experienced **medical illustrator** to create an original anatomical figure that will become the standard illustration used throughout my educational curriculum. This illustration is **not** intended for a single project. It will become the foundation for multiple manuals covering: * Manual Therapy * Myofascial Therapy * Manual Lymphatic Drainage * Anatomy & Physiology * Scar Therapy * Clinical Assessment * Biomechanics * Movement & Posture The selected illustrator may be offered additional work creating future anatomical illustrations using the same style. --- # Objective Create a clean, professional anatomical illustration that clearly displays the major superficial muscles while leaving sufficient space for educational overlays. The illustration must be designed specifically for teaching rather than artistic display. --- # Figures Required Please provide three original figures: ### 1. Anterior (Front View) Neutral standing posture. ### 2. Posterior (Back View) Neutral standing posture. ### 3. Lateral (Side View) Neutral standing posture. These three figures will become the standard anatomical templates used throughout my training manuals. --- # Body Position Please use: * Adult * Gender-neutral appearance * Natural anatomical proportions * Head facing forward * Neutral facial expression * Arms approximately 15–20° abducted from the body * Hands relaxed * Feet shoulder-width apart * Balanced posture * Symmetrical body alignment --- # Anatomical Detail Show the major superficial muscles used in manual therapy education. Examples include: * Sternocleidomastoid * Trapezius * Deltoid * Pectoralis Major * Serratus Anterior * Rectus Abdominis * External Oblique * Latissimus Dorsi * Erector Spinae * Gluteal Muscles * Hip Flexors * Quadriceps * Hamstrings * Tibialis Anterior * Gastrocnemius The objective is educational clarity rather than maximum anatomical complexity. Please avoid excessive detail that will interfere with educational overlays. --- # Illustration Style The finished artwork should be: * Original * Vector based * Clean and modern * Professional medical illustration * White background * Minimal shading * Thin consistent line work * Soft neutral muscle colouring * Print friendly * Readable in colour and grayscale Please avoid: * Bodybuilder proportions * Hyper-realistic rendering * Comic or game styles * Heavy shadows * Dramatic poses * Busy backgrounds --- # IMPORTANT – Designed for Educational Overlays This figure will be used repeatedly with additional educational graphics added over top. Please leave clear space to accommodate overlays such as: * Horizontal functional bands * Lymphatic pathways * Fascial lines * Scar illustrations * Directional arrows * Joint markers * Clinical assessment markings * Treatment pathways * Callout labels The figure should remain easy to read once these overlays are added. --- # Editable Layers This is extremely important. The artwork must be fully editable. Please organize layers logically, for example: * Body outline * Muscle groups * Head * Hands * Feet * Background I will be adding educational content to these illustrations over time. --- # Deliverables Please provide: * Adobe Illustrator (.AI) * SVG * Editable layered source files * PDF * PNG (transparent background) * PNG (white background) * Minimum 300 dpi --- # Rights Upon final payment I require: * Exclusive commercial rights * Full copyright transfer * Permission to modify the artwork * Permission to reproduce the artwork in printed manuals, digital courses, presentations, websites and marketing materials without attribution requirements --- # Reference Material I will provide examples showing how these illustrations will be used within educational layouts. These references are supplied **only to demonstrate the educational purpose and page layout**. I am **not** requesting copies or reproductions of existing copyrighted artwork. The finished illustration must be entirely original. --- # Future Opportunities The successful illustrator will likely be offered additional projects including: * Skeletal overlays * Lymphatic system illustrations * Fascial system illustrations * Organ overlays * Joint illustrations * Clinical procedure diagrams * Educational infographics Maintaining a consistent illustration style across future projects is important. --- # Please Include With Your Proposal * Portfolio examples of medical or anatomical illustration * Experience creating vector illustrations * Confirmation that you can provide layered editable files * Estimated completion time * Confirmation that full commercial rights will be transferred upon completion

The successful entry must provide: *100% original anatomical artwork created by the artist. * No AI-generated anatomy or stock anatomical illustrations. * Fully layered Adobe Illustrator (AI) source files** with organized, editable layers. * The ability to independently turn labels and future educational overlays on and off. * Full commercial rights transferred to Touchstone, for unlimited use, modification, publication, and future educational development. * The artwork must be free from third-party copyright restrictions or licensing requirements**. This illustration will become the foundation of a long-term educational anatomy library for Touchstone, so originality, anatomical accuracy, editability, and long-term commercial rights are my highest priorities.
