Project Description
I am looking for a talented visual storyteller and video editor to transform a ~55-minute raw audio interview into a highly engaging, professional YouTube video.
The content is a deep-dive conversation between myself (the interviewer) and an interviewee covering:
The SEC v. Richard J. Schueler (a/k/a Richard Heart) enforcement action involving PulseChain, Hex, and PulseX
The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (H.R. 3633) and its implications for crypto regulation
The Howey Test, SEC jurisdiction, and the broader legal landscape for digital assets
Because the source material is audio only (no video footage), your job is to build the entire visual narrative from scratch — sourcing visuals, animating legal documents on screen, and creating motion graphics — while aggressively cleaning up and mastering the audio track.
How This Contest Works
You receive the full audio file, one brand logo, and a curated PDF resource guide with clickable links to all relevant court filings and legislation.
You submit a fully polished 5-minute sample using any portion of the audio that best showcases your skills.
The winner is selected based on the sample and is awarded the full project to complete the remaining ~50 minutes at the same quality level.
Payment is made upon delivery of the complete, final video.

What You Will Receive

Note: The PDF covers the major sources, but you are encouraged to research beyond it if you find additional compelling visuals or documents.
Key Requirements & Editing Tasks
1. Audio Mastering & Leveling (Critical)
The raw audio has inconsistent volume levels — the interviewer's audio is noticeably lower than the interviewee's. You must:
Normalize and equalize levels so both speakers sound clear, balanced, and professional
Apply noise reduction and compression as needed for broadcast-quality output
2. Aggressive Audio Cleanup
Trim all dead air, awkward pauses, and hesitations
Remove filler words: "uh," "um," repeated phrases (e.g., "you know, you know, you know" said three times)
The dialogue must feel tight, snappy, and intentional while maintaining natural conversational flow — it should never sound like a choppy jump-cut
3. Visual Creation & Sourcing (This Is the Core Challenge)
Since there is no video footage, you are building the visual track from scratch:
When we reference the SEC complaint, the Clarity Act, or the Howey Test, you must find those documents and animate/highlight the relevant text on screen
Use relevant stock footage, blockchain/crypto visuals, financial charts, courtroom imagery, and news clips where appropriate
Create or source lower thirds, title cards, and topic transition graphics
The visual track must feel like a produced legal/finance commentary video, not a static slideshow
4. Subtitles / Captions
Burned-in subtitles are required throughout the entire video
Use a clean, readable font (e.g., bold sans-serif) with proper contrast against the background
Subtitles are essential given the complexity of the legal terminology discussed
5. Intro, Outro & Branding
Create a short, professional intro sequence (5–10 seconds) using the provided logo
Create a matching outro with a subscribe call-to-action placeholder
6. Background Music / Sound Design
Add subtle background scoring appropriate for a finance/legal commentary tone (think documentary, not hype)
Music should sit well behind the dialogue and never compete with the speakers
Use royalty-free or licensed music only

Judging Criteria (What I'm Looking For in Your 5-Min Sample)
Your sample will be evaluated on:
Audio quality — Are levels perfectly balanced? Are all filler words and dead air removed without sounding choppy?
Pacing — Does the edit flow naturally and keep the viewer engaged?
Research quality — Did you find the correct legal documents and display them at the right moments?
Visual storytelling — Is the visual track dynamic, professional, and appropriate for the subject matter?
Production polish — Subtitle quality, color grading, transitions, sound design, and overall finish
Ownership & Rights
Upon full payment, all intellectual property rights to the final video, thumbnail, and project files transfer to me
Any stock footage, music, or assets used must be royalty-free or properly licensed for commercial YouTube use
You may use the work in your portfolio/showreel with credit
