This contest is for a trading card game template design.
A red template and a blue template are to be designed. They can be exactly the same or slightly different as long as the style is the same.
I have uploaded a main image for each template, but the template will be made to exchange a variety of characters and weapons in the future.
I have also uploaded the artwork for the back of the card. Your design should fit with the style of artwork for the back of the card. You can alter the back artwork to fit your design if you choose, but don’t deviate from the style of design very much.
The front templates provided are to give you a general idea of what I am looking for. I would prefer the layout be vertical, but you can use a horizontal layout if you feel it would fit your design better. The front templates are for a general guide only. Be creative in your design!
The design is based on World War 2 and should appeal to children 12 years and older.
The winner must submit a layered .PSD file that will allow other main images and text to be easily placed into the template. .PSD files should be 2.5" x 3.5" at 300ppi and CMYK color.
Attached are the files needed as well as a 5 page PDF with details and reference images.
RATINGS (Please do not ask me to look at your entries on the public clarification board. I will look at all entries before making my final decision for the winner)
1 or 2 Star rating: Your design isn't what I am looking for. Your design will probably be rejected. Feel free to start from scratch. Enter as many design as you would like.
3 Star rating: You're on the right track, but not there yet. I will try to leave feedback to guide you in the right direction.
4 or 5 star rating: Good job, you have a chance to win this! I will try to give feedback if needed.

Could you mention what other types of cards are there? Is it just machines or will there be weapons? Prominent figures like the leaders of each faction? Cities or places where there was a relevant encounter? Thanks.

Yes, there will be people, planes, bombs and other tanks featured on the cards in the future, so I need a design allows me to swap the tanks for other people and items without much modification to the overall layout. The people will be from the waste or shoulders up. I am looking for a graphics background that can be used for both weapons and people. I will try to upload some of the figures I am having worked on later today. It won't be required to add them to the design for the contest, but will hopefully help in the designs of the templates.

This isn't required for the contest, but to help clarify what I need in the design, I uploaded a new file called People.PSD. These are the types of figures I will also be using in the template other than the tanks. So keep in mind as you are designing that the template will be used to swap out different types of main images including tanks and people as well as other types of vehicles such as planes.

All files should be available now. I included both .PSD and .JPG files. You should really only need to download the .PSD files. .JPGs are in case a someone doesn't have a program that can open the .PSD files. Thanks and good luck.
