I’m building a game-ready, stylized 3D character: an anthropomorphic raccoon knight. The final asset needs to be fully modeled, hand-painted, textured, and rigged, with the armor pieces and weapons supplied as separate meshes so they can be swapped or removed in-engine. Here’s what I already have and will share right away: a folder of reference images that cover proportions, armor silhouettes, color palette, and a few pose ideas. They should guide the overall look, but I’m happy to discuss tweaks if something reads better in 3D. Scope of work • Create a clean, animation-friendly topology for the raccoon body. • Model and UV the armor set (helmet, breastplate, pauldrons, gauntlets, greaves) plus a sword and small shield as separate objects. • Hand-paint textures that capture a vibrant, stylized feel—think readable color blocks, subtle edge highlights, and baked ambient occlusion for depth. • Rig the character for standard biped motion, with additional controls for tail, ears, and armor parts so they don’t clip during animation. • Underlying body segments need to be modeled so they can be hidden when clothing or armor is equipped to avoid clipping and distortion. • Export in FBX (and the original working file—Blender, Maya, or Max is also required) with packed textures. Requirements • Polycount - between 8-10k (midpoly) for body; 12-16k when wearing armor/clothes. • Rig should work with Unity humanoid and should be compatible with [login to view URL] animations. • Meshes/models for body and armor should be separate. • Textures for body and armor should be separate. • LODs are not necessary at this time. Acceptance I’ll load the files into Unity to confirm: 1. Meshes import without errors and retain the separate parts. 2. Rig behaves predictably in an idle, walk, and attack test. 3. Rig should be compatible with basic humanoid animations (such as those on Mixamo) 3. Textures look crisp at 2K resolution and match the references. If you love stylized critters and have a portfolio that shows strong hand-painted work, let’s talk details and milestones. Attached are the RaccoonKnight and RaccoonKnight concept images.
