### Project Overview I am looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer or Industrial Designer to create a high-fidelity, 3D-printable 3D enclosure for a handheld audio player. I have a completed PCB design and a clear aesthetic reference image. The goal of this project is to produce a **functional, "works-like/looks-like" prototype** for a Kickstarter campaign. While this version does not need to be fully DFM-optimized for injection molding yet, it must be designed with tight tolerances for 3D printing (SLA/SLS) and assembly. ### Technical Requirements * **PCB Integration:** You will be provided with the PCB CAD files (STEP/DXF). The enclosure must perfectly house the board, including precise alignments for the ESP32-based architecture, I2S audio components, and power management. * **External Features:** The design includes a speaker grill, a small OLED display bezel, physical buttons, side controls, and an antenna. * **Assembly:** Use of heat-set threaded inserts for secure, repeatable assembly of the enclosure halves and internal components. * **Aesthetic Direction:** The design follows a "Retro-Futuristic" and minimalist aesthetic (think Teenage Engineering or Braun). It requires clean lines, tactile surfaces, and geometric detailing (embossed logos and text). * **Materials:** The design should be optimized for SLA/Resin printing to ensure a smooth, production-quality finish for video and photography. ### Scope of Work 1. Map all PCB components, ports, and mounting points. 2. Develop the external 3D shell based on the provided reference image. 3. Model internal mounting bosses, standoffs, and cable routing paths. 4. Design a functional battery compartment (screw-secured for prototype). 5. Design a functional speaker compartment, isolated from the rest of the enclosure 6. Refine all external textures, buttons, and embossed detailing. ### Required Skills * Expertise in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Rhino. * Strong portfolio of consumer electronics enclosures. * Experience designing for high-resolution 3D printing (SLA/SLS). * Eye for minimalist industrial design and tactile ergonomics. ### To Apply Please share your portfolio, specifically highlighting **internal views of previous enclosure designs** you have completed.
