Executive Summary
We requie a simple and easy to install call accounting program to interface with a VoIP PBX. The preferred graphical user interface should be web based and have a back end that requires no additional license such as MS SQL Express 2008 or MySQL. An option to migrate to a licensed version of SQL should the considered if the need arises for additional capacity for data storage. The program will use the SMDR output of the PBX and populate the database for historical reporting.
Key Considerations
Platforms Supported: 32 and 64 bit versions of Microsoft XP Professional, Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Vista, Microsoft Server 2003/2007,
Configuration: Installer should be a simple click-to-finish installation process that checks for system requirements prior to installation and adapts to add needed components if needed. An option to change the TCP/IP port should be included.
Functionality: Program should allow user the ability to retrieve reports that can be customized or filter to include date-time ranges, extension ranges, user names, called number ranges, Caller ID ranges, call duration, account codes, internal/external calls, call charge, hold time, park time and channel used. Interface should have options for several canned reports that allow customization and/or filtering along with a report that dumps all information into CSV file.
Reports: Reports should have a standard list including:
• Inbound external calls with filters on date/time, CLID, DID, targeted name and/or extension, hunt group, channel, with details including hold time, call duration. Details can filter and selectable as to inclusion in the report.
• Outbound calls with filters on date/time, targeted number, channel, with details including hold time, call duration. Details can filter and selectable as to inclusion in the report.
• Internal calls with filters on date/time, targeted name and/or extension, hunt group, with details including hold time, call duration. Details can filter and selectable as to inclusion in the report.
• Calls by account codes or call charges.
Report formats should include: Word, Excel (or CSV), and PDF.
Reports should have an option to be automated where they can be automatically generated to be printed or sent by email.
Maintenance: Ability to easily install patches, updates and upgrades. GUI should have option to backup database.
Licensing: Program will need to require a licensing mechanism for installation. License should be single use.
Monitoring: Secondary consideration would be to have program proactively warn about data capacity and/or integrity issues. Possible interface into SNMP could be considered.
