I need someone to build a fully functional prototype of a power usage monitor device.
Functionality:
The purpose of the device is to measure the power consumption (current) in an AC or DC circuit and report the current back over the internet to a cloud based website, and to control a power relay switch for an AC or DC circuit via a website.
Posting data over internet:
The device should connect through the 3G sim card to the internet. You should also create a basic ASP.NET MVC website with RESTful API to receive the data from the device, and to receive commands to turn the relay on and off, and to show the data and status of the device. The solution must also include some sort of identifier for the device such that the website solution can support multiple devices, and a security system to prevent anyone from simply posting data to falsely represent a device.
Data format:
The data should be posted from the Arduino every 30 seconds showing the average power consumption, low reading, high reading, and status of the power relay, as well as some sort of identifier for the device.
Specifications:
- Arduino based
- 3G shield (compatible with Australian SIM cards/carriers). Ideally with GPS support to report current location of the device.
- prototype shield or add-on with the following:
- Non-invasive current sensor (like split core or hall effect) for measuring power consumption in an external AC or DC circuit (up to 240V 15A AC).
- Power relay switch for remotely controlling / switching DC and AC networks up to 240V 15A
- LCD display (two rows) - to show relay status (on/off), internet connection status, and current power usage data
- Case/enclosure - suitable for outdoor use, UV and IR resistant, water resistant
- Basic website written in ASP.NET MVC with database and the RESTful APIs and a log and visual representation of the data from the device and ability to control the power relay remotely via the website
- Associated source code, circuit design
Deliverables:
- One assembled working prototype unit constructed, programmed, and delivered to Robina Queensland Australia 4226
- list of components and parts used
- circuit diagram for additional shield
- all Arduino source code
- all website, database, and API source code
- any other source code
- all copyright and intellectual property associated with the design
The circuit should be designed for maximum protection and reliability.
Proposed milestones:
1. Commencement - 25% payment
2. Video of working prototype and supply of source code and list of parts - 35%
3. Delivery received of working prototype to Robina QLD 4226 Australia - 20%
4. Final approval - 20%
Timeframe:
Total project time is 14 days from commencement
