Hello,Can you share more details about how many servers you have and what are there roles? I mean what else you have configured on amazon like load balancers or auto scale?

AWS has many backup & recovery solutions available. Assuming your database is on the EC2 instance a scheduled mysqldump and then EC2 volume snapshots would work, although the snapshots come at the cost of S3 storage prices, another solution would be to backup into AWS Glacier, which is much much cheaper than S3 but has the downside of being slower to restore from.
