This is a short 2D animated film (~4min) that is in its final stages. We have: - Animatic shot-by-shot storyboard - All the watercolor backgrounds - All the character puppet rigs - Complete script What we need: - Someone who can work with DuIK rigs in after effects - Basically all the animator needs to do, is follow the animatic storyboard and create the movements for the character puppets over the watercolor backgrounds As for the short film, it's a silent coming-of-age story that follows a young foreign girl experiencing her first Chinese New Year and explores the classic process of figuring out what happiness is our modern increasingly materialistic world. We are sending this short into international film festivals -- you will of course be credited for your work and be invited to all the festivals we are admitted into.

Hi there, I had so much fun reading your script! It's such a classic narrative and I already visualize Bree in all those scenes with the mannequins and her each and every expression :) Also the Old Man's scene is very powerful and the opening scene of the Red Envelope. I'm extremely eager to see your character designs and storyboards and discuss this further with you. Now about the production stage i.e. the animation part. I understand the style you are looking for and I'm ace with animating characters in AE with the Duik rig plugin but the script has so many scenarios from so many angles and so much potential for the facial expressions. So I really first one to see your rigged characters and then we can discuss whether frame by frame i.e. classical animation is also required. I don't have anything so impressive to show you that you can immediately hire me but I promise you a superb sample animation of one of your scenes if you provide me the storyboard and the character rig.
