Dear Client Although new to this site, I am an old hand in the publishing industry. As an experienced Managing Editor, I have worked with a number of successful Cape Town-based publishing companies. In my capacity as Managing Editor, my responsibilities included the full book production process. This included manuscript assessment, scoping of the book production process and assigning the relevant freelance (editors, artists, designers, typesetters) resources. During this process I would liaise closely with the author (or in some cases, author team), discuss manuscript development and changes, and where able, edit and proofread some titles personally. On the rest of the publishing list I would oversee and manage the quality of editing and proofreading.
