I would configure the router using the following steps. 1. Configure the L2 components required for the LAN. 2. Configure the L3 components required for the LAN. 3. Configure the logical requirements for the VDSL connection, including PPP if require. 4. Configure VPN 5. Test and troubleshoot any issue that may have occurs.
