hi, I am an electrical engineer and i can design your project. the project would consist of some main components which are: 1- Microcontroller 2- Finger print scanner module. 3- LCD module 4- Power Mosfet Circuit Here is the technique: The scanner module would be interfaced with microcontroller via UART. This microcontroller already have stored the user's fingerprint database. The scanner module will detect the fingerprints and send it to the controller which will match it with the stored database, if match occur then controller will turn on the power mosfet which will short the key-switch wires of car to unlock it. the lcd will show the status of car and also the number of wrong tries occur. however, the extra modifications can be done according to your requirements. In my opinion I will need to use a finger print scanner module and interface it to a 32 bit micro controller like ARM or MIPS based for fast processing and verification from a data base stored in memory. Good morning, I already have a solution for this project (small form factor video camera used to capture the fingerprint details and algorithm to decode the print marks). The whole assembly has a small footprint and can easily be integrated in an end product, but You will have to provide the means (vehicle communication matrix, client requirements) to lock/unlock and start/stop the vehicle.
