hi there,
As expert in security development fpga is not right solution for scrypt algo
and for asic going to be expensive as scrypt use salsa and hashing 1024 itr, this need ram on chip.
scrypt algo is not oriented for asic, is oriented for cpu+ram, opposite of bitcoin sha256. is doing well in asic.
I have a solution I got only 5Mh/s at this moment but need a lot of cores linked together and this kind expensive I used arround series of chipset running together each chipset has 256 cores x 192 i got 5mh/s
really it costly , and for power each chipset need arround 4w working @1v.
but asic could be done but more expensive and costly.
if you're interested working with a expert you welcome to contact me back sky_pe:interhired
