I would like a Device to be built that can detect if an electrical transformer is faulty. It should be a small portable and inexpensive device. I suspect this device would be attached to the GnP fuse and also have a connection with a control room to detect if the reason for no Power in the G and P is becuase of lack of electricity supply. Need a bit more information about the transformer that is to be monitored and what you mean by G and P ( is this ground and positive or phase and neutral). And what is the transformer voltage? Is the device to be battery powered such that if the supply is faulty it can communicate with the control room? Why GPS (which is an always on connection) rather than SMS? My price does not include the enclosure design.

Hi, The task seems very interesting, but there are few things which i do not understand. 1. GnP. what is GnP ? 2. What sort of a tester do you expect me to build? AC or DC. 3. What voltage level do you expect the tester to be rated to? 4. Is it just voltage that you expect the tester to test or are there any other requirements ? Hope to hear soon from you.
