The purpose of the ***Change Management System (CMS)*** is to notify plant managers of impending ***physical*** or ***process*** changes to the plant. A physical change may vary from replacing an existing piece of equipment such as a pump to adding a new building and the equipment in it. A process change can be varying from a revision of an existing process within a department or across the plant to introducing a new process similarly - within a department or across the plant.
**The *CMS* will focus on the lifecycle of document management as it relates to the change management process**. CMS will be implemented as a SharePoint site utilizing SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) platform and its workflow, document management and library and list capabilities.
