I need someone to select and install versioning software on my Linux server. This will be used primarily to help track changes made to Word, Acrobat and Xcel docuemnts. I am looking for something like Concurrent Versions System (CVS), Subversion, etc. but it can be something different that you are familiar with.
1) The software needs to be open source or less than $50 to buy.
2) Must ber VERY easy to use. Some of my team can barely use Word, they will have trouble if the software is too dificult..
3) It does not have to be very sophisticated - check out and lock files. Open in read-only mode if checked out or "owned" or locked by someone. Allow for comments when checking back in, or even just the ability to comment on the files.
Your bid will be to tell me which application you will suggest, install it, and provide one hour of training/help via msn messenger.
