I need to find all the combinations of the set of numbers that add up to a particular target value.
For example -
Numbers - a= 1,b =5,c =4,d =5,e =10
Target Value - 20
Answer - a,b,c,e and a,c,d,e and b,d,e
I need the [login to view URL] elements 1 - 6. Not more than 6. Just to clear, what this means - in the above example - The first two solutions (a,b,c,e and a,c,d,e) have 4 elements each, the last solution and 3 elements. If there is any result i which there are for example 7 elements then we do not need it.
I have around 1500 records on which I want to run this algorithm.
Please note-
I have already tried the looping way (No use as it hangs at a point).
The solver is also not a good idea.
Please tell me the way as soon as possible

I guess you shall improve looped way to not select all the variants, but filter out for instance some big o small values from given set.
For instance,
a=1 b=2 c=6 d=5, target value=10
So after we get c=6, the variant d=5 shall be excluded completely from the loop because 6+5 is already more than 10. And so on.
Please accept my bid and we can continue to investigate this algorithm deeper.

Program is done. I am made it in Java. I will tell you details when u give me the project. I have the function made which can be translated into C, C++ easily. If you are interested hit me up!!! See my profile and see my work. My Java program will take input as an excel sheet and give out output as the subsets which make up the sum 20. This step i will start when u approve of this project and create a milestone for the whole value of the project.

As far as I understand this, there would be 6 numbers that would be inputted by the user through console and another number which again would be inputted from the user.
