Hi, I am already researching on ADHD (see PM for details). As you may already know, it is really surprising that how often parents neglect the symptoms in their children because awareness is low. Besides, The current diagnostic criteria for ADHD are not perfect. The DSM system does not include a developmental perspective. The diagnostic criteria derived from research in children 6-13 years doesn’t apply to adults or even adolescents based on retrospective recall of the patient to determine if the diagnosis occurred in childhood. The 18 core symptoms derived from field trials of children in 4-17 age are not appropriately worded for adults. Given some of these issues, I must congratulate you for having decided to write on this topic that needs everyone's attention.
