Build a dashboard for school/4H egg production project

I have read the requirements. I propose to develop a web application in PHP and MySql. We will code a form to create master data of birds. Then we will create a webpage that will look like a spreadsheet - here data can be entered about egg production by birds on a date. The data will be saved to a MySql database and then can be searched for a date range, by bird name or for all flock. We can also import data from the excel sheet so that you have to only enter data hereafter and all old data is already in the database when we hand over to you. I ensure a very thorough job.

My proposed solution would simply call for a flat HTML/HTML 5 page, utilizing jQuery and JavaScript for client side interaction, and one or more C# based web service methods to process user inputs. The solution would allow for data updates w/o postbacks or reloading of the page. Everything would be handled dynamically via web service method calls, making for a smooth end user experience.
