I just joined this site on Saturday but I am a seasoned vet in this. I have a life time of illustration experience and a passion for comics. I spent five years working in a comic shop just because I loved to be around them. If you choose me you will be choosing skilled passion for comics. My bid can be broken down as such. $50 a page on completion of each. This is a great deal because usually on a low average it costs $75 a page in the industry. If we could settle on $60 a page until completion I would feel comfortable with that but $50 a page is my quote. The time on the bid is a bit of a variable since I don't know exactly what you want or when you want it but that is something we can discuss. Just last night someone took a chance on me and was blown away by my skill sets. I did a 6 panel story board in 3 hours hit the deadline and they were impressed. I love comic books and have a vast home library to pull reference. Please check out my portfolio and my website heylon.com. If you decide to take a chance on me I hope to blow your mind too and your product will be amazing. EDIT: I changed my bid from $57 a page to $50 a page. Opportunities like these are slim and I just love coimcs and want to work on this project. I know there are other bidders out there that meet your range but I would bet on a serious loss of quality and no real passion behind their work for your comic. And the cover is free with one condition. I can spend more time on it then the rest of the pages.

As you said, "May be things that would cause the amount to go up.." $100 per page is fair enough, 35 pages equals $3500 (cover not included). Unless you want to hire someone who never did storyboarding before, to make this book become the real paper, you're definitely gonna spend at least $3500 for a fresh graphic novel artist or up to $9000 for an experienced artist. Because you believe the story you wrote is awesome and your book will be successfully published. First of all I have to say I excel at EXACTLY this type of project. I am currently in the process of illustrating my own graphic novel, and am working with a client setting up the initial phases of another. I have experience in the comic world, especially in gritty- adult age ones. My style is changeable and I can send you some examples of past full pages I've done. As for the job itself, I would need to speak with you directly to ensure the style and scope of the project will meet your standards, as comic books deal with many different elements to them. After the initial 'client discovery', I provide concepts, panel layouts, and design elements. Once approved, I render these elements to completion.
