Business roadmap slide

I want to create a slide that shows a business "roadmap." I am often drafting slides showing things like an "engagement roadmap" or "process roadmap" and the like and currently use chevrons, etc. to accomplish this. However, I want the slide to convey more of an actual roadmap and envision something of a winding road near the top of the slide, which I can separate (like chevrons) into different steps. I keep envisioning the layout from the "Game of Life" but am open to any concept that I can manipulate and re-purpose for the roadmaps that can have anywhere from 3-7 steps in them. I work for a management consulting firm, so the layout should be professional but eye catching. I have attached two files to help provide insights into what I'm talking about. One is a slide with an image of an attempted roadmap look and feel, with text, to show what type of information we convey. The other is a pic from the "Game of Life" for those who are not familiar with that layout. The goal is to have this completed by January 23, 2013.
