My name is Jordan Ramirez. While reviewing the requirements produced for the PNL app on Freelancer, I found the opportunity to be a perfect fit to exercise my past experience - prior experience that exists in corporate communications, public relations, marketing, entrepreneurship, branding, management, and digital strategy. Specfically because I have just wrapped up a project working for a startup in Sweden launching their global app – successfully developing a thorough marketing strategy for a strong user base through global press coverage.
Into the opportunity, I will be bringing an entrepreneurial drive that has led me to found a number of non‐profit organizations and businesses. In early 2008, I founded my first non-profit organization that I led to expansion into six different cities within two different states in less than eleven months due to strategic marketing planning and executed PR efforts. In 2009, I was appointed president of the Austin Branch of a national non-profit organization that I also served as CMO of, and led to global viewership through research and marketing implementation. In 2010, I founded my own business that I have served as both CEO and CMO of for three years until I hired my replacement to presently serve as Chairman of the Board. This web-based venture has achieved global viewership through my implementation of marketing and digital media strategies. Through all of these leadership experiences, I was trained to use what I refer to as a “savvy intuition” to explore areas such as digital media, public relations, management, branding, and marketing to effectively bring an organization to success. I gained a proficiency in social strategy, creative ideation successfully deployed to achieve growth, website analytics to make informed marketing decisions, and found an understanding of how to apply products and services to the observed social and cultural trends.
In addition to my entrepreneurial drive, in 2011, my successful ventures led me to positions with and working alongside some of the most respected industry leaders at some of the world’s leading global companies and firms. In April of 2011, I worked in Orlando, Florida at the ESPN Wide World of Sports (Disneyworld) with Vex Robotics & Innovation First. My role within Corporate Communications allowed me to personally aid the company to convey their message through news releases and media publicity, collaborating with PR teams and executives from ESPN and Disney. In January of 2012, I was hired by Cohn & Wolfe, assisting in new business RFP ideation and digital strategy. Cohn & Wolfe sits in the top 5 list for most successful and utilized global, PR firms in the world managing brands like Nike, Sony, Walmart, and more. Within my role, I gained utilized social media analytics tools to make strategic marketing decisions to maintain a brand. On the new business end, I conducted brand tonality tests, spot blogging and internet trends on the brand to track media coverage in relevance to brands. My research and ideation has contributed to marketing strategies pitched for the multimillion‐dollar BMWi 2012 Summer Olympic Campaign, Behr Paint, P&G, and Skype.
