I'm migrating my old server to a new server. The old server was a dedicated server with Apache Tomcat running on its port 80. The server used to host only JAVA websites, thus I did not had any need to install Apache server for httpd.
Now I'm moving this dedicated server on a VPS. This VPS has a httpd server already installed and running on port 80. This VPS will host some PHP sites as well, so this time I need this httpd (apache 2.2.x server)
Thus Tomcat has been installed at 8080 port.
Assume that the websites on tomcat earlier could be accessed as
[login to view URL]
As tomcat is on port 8080, on the new server, these can be accessed as
[login to view URL]
I want to use mod_jk or mod_proxy so that
[login to view URL] is habdled by apache-tomcat server.
I've already installed [login to view URL] and configured my [login to view URL] in apache server. I've made corresponding changes in [login to view URL] as well. But still I'm facing issues in redirecting the requests to Tomcat server.
The server can be accessed with root account from SSH. WHM and Paralles plesk also available. You job is to identify the problem in configuration and redirect the request from apache to Tomcat.

I am Middle-ware Administrator and handle these kind of project on regular Basis.
I can also setup set of shell script for starting and stopping server immediately for later deployment of Java application in case its is required.
