The project is to design and create a set of 7 simple website templates, which can present an app or a game (Apple, Android, Windows Phone). An example can be found at: [login to view URL] This is just an example, I do need different versions! Everything has to look good on an iPad and iPhone. There is no need for an extra iPhone version, the templates just must not break on the iPhone. And they have to be usable. So no hover/mouse-over events and no menus which open up sub-menus (like the menu bar in desktop applications) as those tend to not work on iPhones. Of course they must work on the most common browser versions.
In detail I need the following templates:
- Phone Vertical
- Phone Horizontal
- Tablet Vertical
- Tablet Horizontal
- Phone + Tablet Vertical
- Phone + Tablet Horizontal
- Phone Vertical + Table Horizontal
The Phone/Tablet has to be exchangeable. So the phone can be an iPhone, an Android Phone or a Windows Phone 7. As far as models go, you will only have to provide one for each company (eg. iPhone 4S, Nexus S, Lumia 900 are just a few I found for free as PSDs). The content of the phone's/table's screen is loaded as a seperate image! The screenshots will be provided in non-retina editions, so in the templates they should be displayed with a maximum resolution of 320x480 (iPhone), 480x800 (Android & Windows Phone). They can be smaller, but not larger.
You do not need to code the exchangability, just make shure that the different versions fit in the templates. If you think it's easier I would also go with different templates for each of the phones, but that's your decision.
Each template must be able to handle the following components. Each component can be obligatory or optional. If it's optional your design must not break if it's not there. This means that if that space is empty or the stuff below comes up it still looks good. You do not worry about coding this, just make shure it's possible from a design and HTML/CSS perspective.
- screenshots (obligatory)
- title (obligatory)
- subtitle (obligatory)
- App Store Buttons (1, 2 or all three) (obligatory)
- menu (between one and a reasonable amount like 8, but that's not a hard border) (obligatory)
- content (obligatory)
- a list of features (optional)
- external links (e.g. a link to a blog or RSS feed, can be part of the menu) (optional)
- facebook like/share line (optional)
- AddThis line (optional)
- Legal Information/Impressum link (obligatory)
- space for advertisements (optional)
The "content" point is so generic, because it can be anything. So the templates should have an area for "content" which can strech. You can plan on a certain minimum of text, but you should not restrict the possible maximum with your design.
The idea is, that you design the templates and realize them using the bootstrap framework. I'm open for discussion on this point, but you'll have to convince me. Any JavaScript should use jQuery and I do not want excessive use of JavaScript. An image slider or a simple menu is ok, but the less scripting the better.
IMPORTANT: I will need to see the designs before you do the HTML work, because I would like to give my feedback on them. A simple JPEG/PNG will be enough, but I want to see what you are about to do.
