Problem: I need to quickly define new meshes for a product visualization app, but creating meshes in blender is time consuming
Solution: Import SVG shape outlines from adobe illustrator, and extrude them into babylonjs meshes
Deliverable: Create a demo web page and nodejs backend.
The user can upload an SVG file. The web page will upload the SVG file to the nodejs server, the nodejs server will convert the SVG file to vertices, and the web page will use babylonjs to extrude the vertices into a mesh.
User workflow:
1. Goto [login to view URL]
2. Use upload button to select an svg file from local HD
3. Upload file to nodejs server (post /uploadSVGFile)
4. /uploadSVGFile returns a list of vertexes
5. /uploadSVGFile callback receives list of vertices and uses ExtrudeShapeCustom to create the extruded mesh.
Implementation Suggestions:
npm module that can convert SVG to vertices ([login to view URL]) (This module includes example .svg files too)
The babylonjs function that extrudes vertices is (ExtrudeShapeCustom) ([login to view URL])

I was referred here. I ported the cross-stitch post-process filter to babylon.js.
