I need to create an AUTOCAD 2017 LT Macro tool box, that will import straight lines.
VBA can't be loaded in AUTOCAD, I think, so I can't test it myself, so please make sure it runs in LT
In the excel file, for each line, its type (longitudinal or transverse) is inputted, along with its start point and end point and the distance of the line.
I want to have a pop box in AUTOCAD 2017 LT, where the input will ask for this file, and produce the lines in CAD.
See attached dwg file.
the green lines are the files that are imported in CAD, and the lines should have file numer on them.
I will develop a utility (Exe file) which will ask you the path of excel file and genearate a DWG / DXF file with lines in green from the start point to end point. The points should be X,Y coordinates. no need to mention length if start and points are mentioned. If start point is mentioned then it is necessary to mention distance along with L or T as longitudinal or transverse line.
The utility will be for windows operating system. any version of AutoCAd can open the output file. The scale factors from original line length to Model Space units and from Model Space units to paper space units will be entered by user. The multiple sheets of excel file will be read by programs to create multiple or single CAD file as output. The output will be in DXF file ( can be opened in any CAD version). The final template provided will be used in Layout drawings.
