AMD Strategies Vote Mobile

The goal of this project is so that political field canvassers can collect data on voters using a 7" android tablet. The android application would have a user login and registration portion where the user credentials would be verified over a RESTful web service to a mysql database. One the user is signed in he will be allowed to access a list of database tables that have been assigned to that user. These database tables contain voter information such as name age gender and address. Once the user selects the list they desire to use it downloads the list to a mysqli db locally on the android tablet once again through the RESTful web service talking to a MySQL server. Once the list is downloaded locally a new android page will load that will allow the user two options. One is to open a google maps api on the android app that will have markers placed based upon gps coordinates corresponding to individual voters that are stored in the local database that had been imported. Now if an individual clicks on a marker, that marker will open up a list view of any registered voters in the household and then proceed to allow the selection of any known registered voters. From there the user can view known information about the voters such as their name age sex etc, but can also add new information to the mysqli DB according to how their contact with the voters went. Things like would the voter want to volunteer or receive a lawn sign. After the canvassers has gone through their list they are able to reupload the list to using the RESTful webservice to the main mysql server. In terms of mysql I want the user/registration database separate from database contain voter information.
