Android App. Sky Typing. A dot matrix printing in the sky.

Team AeroDynamix is interested in offering a new product to air shows, Sky typing. Also known as digital skywriting and dot matrix skywriting, sky typing is the process of using five planes or more in formation and advanced computing to choreograph puffs of smoke being released from each plane. When viewed from the ground, messages can be seen very clearly being written in the sky by the flight of aircraft. The messages, written at 10,000 foot altitude, can be up to 1250 feet tall and over five miles long. Sky typing allows planes to put any message into the sky, without having to perform advanced and aerobatic flying maneuvers. General Functionality We want an Android app that will use the system clock, allow for a text sentence to be put in like “HELLO WORLD” and the app will control a Bluetooth relay in the aircraft that will turn the smoke on and off by controlling the BT relay. Each plane has its own Android phone with the app. Each plane has its own BT relay board. The relay board is a BT receiver with a simple relay switch. The app sends a BT command to open the switch, and close the switch. The switch is connected to a smoke system pump in the plane. The trick is, to have the app determine when to activate the switch. Its all about timing of the puffs of smoke of each plane. The planes in the air are just like a dot matrix printer. A dot matrix printer has pins that strike ink filled tape onto paper. Our planes have a smoke generator that drops dots in the sky of smoke.
