I’ve been looking at the iOS version of The File Converter, checked out what libraries it's linking with and how it works.
Looks like there is quite a bit of legacy code in usage. Non-supported libraries like ASIHTTPRequest and TMCache.
Could do with updating those at some point.
As proof of my digging efforts, here are the beginnings and ends of the Api Keys for:
Helpshift: f127...d2ee
Countly: 3bba…bbea
Crashlytics: c67a...661f
This is very much the kind of thing I excel at. I’m detail oriented and perfectionistic.
Time-wise I’m ready to work on it this week.
I also have very good knowledge with audio/video and also ebook conversion. But I understand that no specific knowledge is needed since it’s all done server side.
I would really like to bid a bit higher, but at the same time, I do enjoy these OS X projects a lot. And since there’s always a bunch of iOS developers bidding on these too, I need to keep it low. Your win in the end.
Seems like a decent amount of work so the bid feels reasonable.
As an OS X developer I don’t see this as a hard project, just work that needs to be done.
Images and API string changes is of course no challenge for me.
The localization preparations seems to be a good way to go about it.
I could start on this immediately, and should be able to finish it within a few days at the most.
I Hope I’ve conveyed my interest in the project.
Please get in touch so we can discuss further.
