A hotel client of ours needs to have a browser-based checkbook accounting application created.
Each department is given a virtual checking account. The monthly available balance of which is based on overall hotel performance (if the hotel sees 100% occupancy month-to-date, the departments have access to 100% of their budgeted balance).
The users must have the ability to generate purchase orders. The total of each purchase order, once finalized should automatically be deducted from the checking account balance. The PO's should be printable, archivable, and deletable (by the creator).
The application will be integrated into an existing web-based intranet application (MS-IIS). The database can either be Access or MS-SQL. ASP/VBScript preferred, .NET will be ok as well. There is also potential for future expansion of this project.
The application should not 3rd part embedded controls that require additional purchases or licensing.
The application should be built in such a way that the page schemes can be easily adjusted to match the client's current Intranet site (stylesheets?).
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
This application will need to be written using ASP or ASP.NET and must run on a Microsoft IIS server. Framework can be installed if needed.
Database should be either MS Access or MS SQL Server 2000 or above.
Most clients will connect using IE 5 or higher, but the application should be built for all browsers if possible.
