I am looking for a coder who may have already coded a one-to-one chat client. I require the standard chat screen with the conversation and send message boxes. The user screen will be placed in a popup from an ASP.NET page. So design can be very basic for now.
I need both the client and server for the user only. I will implement the backend, so I will need the server somewhat configurable for MSSQL connections.
Besides the basic component on the users screen I will require an additional button to turn an option on and off. By default the button text will read “Turn On?? and status is off. If the user clicks the button, the button text will display “Shut Off??. On each click of the button, a status flag must be passed to the server. There is only one cycle. If the user clicks to turn on and then later clicks to turn off, the button is then disabled.
Additionally, a time pre-formatted in HH:MM is displayed once the optional button is turned on. This time will be passed to the client by the server.
I am looking for the simplest approach and a language I can work with and will be supported. I open to suggestions.
I will have additional enhancements and other utilities following this.
