I have CSV output of an autocad file with X,Y coordinates that I need displayed as a 3d rendering in a vb.net application. Each machine in the CSV have corresponding ID numbers... I want to be able to not only pull and update the 3D application off the CSV file in real time (call an event in a timer), but also send the application a code to change the 3d box placed there from say green to red or black.
example:
'Change one machine
[login to view URL](123).changecolor = vbgreen
'Change multiple machines
[login to view URL](1).changecolor = vbred
or
[login to view URL](4).changecolor = vbblue
I would also like position control... something like
[login to view URL](123).position
This would make it automatically turn to camera view on that area and blink the machine or bank of machines that correspond with a DPU
My main objective is to include this object in a vb.net project. If you are capable of creating the OCX in C++ or any other language, then that is fine with me as long as you show it works how I need it in VB and include all source code. This will turn into an ongoing project with the chosen programmer.
When viewing the 3D in the running program, it should just be really simple... rotate, zoom, pan and tilt. If you are familiar with Nagios, i'm looking for the same thing with the 3d portion...
no lines, just boxes placed at x,y coordinates that I can control the color of...
