This application will be a client application designed to access our servers via an embedded web browser and have a small download manager to facilitate transfer of files. It will have a fairly simple design as most of the work will be done on the server side (which is NOT included in this project.) The main component of the application will be a web browser component. In Windows, the browser will be an embedded-IE (pulled from the version installed on the system.) In Linux, we are thinking embedded-Mozilla (maybe also in Windows if easy?) and not sure for Mac (IE? Mozilla? ideas?) (Mozilla for all?) (This point is flexible-- we want a standard browser (ie. IE or Mozilla) for each platform-- not some stripped down browser.) The window will be simple in design. It will be resizable and allowed to minimize/maximize. Taking up most of the space will be the web browser. At the top will be the menu and a row of buttons below. A status bar will be on the bottom. Please see the attached text file for the complete specs.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the NON-WINDOWS platforms specified in this bid request. (Although we wish to be able to do this ourselves by the ene of the project.) 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 4) Documentation on how to cimpile (with what tools) for the various platforms.
## Platform
The app will be cross-platform (Win 95/98/NT/ME/2K/XP, Mac OSX, Linux) and support multiple languages (incl. double-byte languages- altho initially we will be using English throughout.) We want one set of code for this, so we wish it to be developed with some cross-platform GUI toolkit (such as QT, although you're free to use whatever does the job-- please let us know what toolkit you plan on using ahead of time.) The application should look fairly similar throughout the various platforms. It doesn't have to be perfect as we realize that things can look different.
## Deadline information
We would also like a quote on 15 extra hours for tweaking the app after it is completed.
