Debug C++ Program Crash

Hello, I have an ActiveX control that links against libtorrent over a static library. This ActiveX control is crashing at this location: Call Stack: [login to view URL]!std::char_traits::assign [login to view URL]!std::basic_string,std::allocator >::_Chassign( [login to view URL]!std::basic_string,std::allocator >::append(unsigned int _Count=1, char _Ch='a') [login to view URL]!libtorrent::detail::read_string,int> >(std::istream_iterator,int> & in={...}, The call that actually causes the crash is this: str += *in; where str is an stl string. It seems to me that the problem comes from a problem in linking in the STL library. I believe that somehow I am linking it wrongly, and it is not allowing me to pass std::string across a dll boundary. Alternatively, the problem may be with unicode vs mcbs strings. I need you to debug this using the Boost Libraries and Visual Studio 2005, and make it work in Debug and Release. It's a bit of an urgent job. I'd suggest you take it if you have enough time within the next 24 hours. That way, you can try to fix it and if you discover you cannot do it within the 24 hours, you cancel without penalty.
