Cold Fusion Spam Blocking on Join Script

Hi There, I need and immediate assistance for improving and adding spam and abuse blocking for a simple join script that we wrote. script is written in cold fusion. The script/join form is very simple it asks for username, password, Age, and gender, and check against our database if that user exist. if do not exist - approve customer. if do- ask for differnet username. * we have one spammer keep abusing my script and keep some program that spam my script and keep guessing username and password...not such a big deal since our service is free..but it throws off all my stats. I need that guy stopped. ** I need elegant solution that block that spammer, yet do not require to much extra input/work from our young users..i.e. kids I have many more cold fusion work coming for right coder..
