Data Entry Extraction

Data Entry Extraction I have the 2000 census data for New York on disc. The data is stored in propriety format and the user can only use their program to view/select/export the data. The problem I have with the program is that the user cannot easily see the categories to select because the program cannot be resized. The categories are shown in a treeview control that doesn’t allow me to copy and paste out of it. Please see the attached documents for a screenshot of the program. I want to get the list of all the categories and sub-categories in hierarchy format in an excel file. I don’t need the categories and sub categories that are in the folder ‘Geographic Identifiers’. Only the ones in the folders: ‘H Tables’, ‘HCT Tables’, ‘P Tables’, ‘PCT Tables’. **_Example: There is a sample screenshot of the format attached_** The data is large (1 GB). There are many categories and subcategories. I don’t know if this can be automated. To access the program and data, I can either setup a computer where you can VNC into, or I can upload the data for you to download and install on your computer. You must agree that you will remove the program and data after completion of this project because you don’t have a license for it.
