I require a basic DirectX engine that will display a 3D model that can be texture mapped with a given bitmap.
Specifically this module will be used in a larger program. This program allows the user to select a texture from a fabric catalog and have it applied to a 3d model of a funiture object (sofas, chairs, etc.)
The program doesnt need any interface as it is just a graphics module. But it is required that it at least compiles by itself for testing purposes, and allows rotation with the keyboard.
All models are included in .x format along with the bitmap images.
This is a very basic program for those experienced with DirectX. So there are no requirements to be able to bid besides the needed knowledge.
The challenge of this project is to map the textures so that it looks autentic. For instance the "fabric" on the arms of a sofa should be in the appropriate direction as well as the back of the sofa.
To clarify the artist of the 3d models will provide texture coordinates to make this step simple.
This project is to be completed in Visual Basic for simplicity. However I will also accept bids in C++ if the developer is not flexible. Please mention your language of choice (or if you can do both) in your bid description.
The price is negotiable so bid what you think is fair.
If you need more details just let me know!
Thanks, looking forward to seeing your bid.

## Platform
Windows Enviroment
It can be assumed that the machine will have basic 3d hardware support but make sure there is a support for REF mode as well and not just HAL.
Compatibility with a broad range of configurations is needed.
