Hi All!
I have small thing to do base on previously made custom module. There is an contest on my site. Many students present stories about their school. Others users can vote for the best school. I need something to strenghten competition. Basically I need a way to making a duels between two groups of schools.
How It works:
1- One school (already reg. in the contest)build a group of max 3 schools out of reg. schools by filling formular and providing following info:
a- Name of the group (ie "astronauts")
b- Slogan (ie "rockets are better than cars")
c- name of two other school taking part in that group.
2- formular is submitted and waits for approval
3- afer approval newly formed group waits in the line
4- groups are match randomly or choosen by admins (I am not certain yet)
5- duels are commited on daily basis. Every day another pair of groups.
6- duels goes as simply voting for one or another group. votes are made by registered users or/and by guests
7- Duel should be displayed simply in the central module divided in three parts - left, central and right. In left part should be group one, in central part - group number two, in right part duels waiting in the line.
Under each group there should be an button to VOTE.
8- winning group will be granted votes for theirs personal presenations as follows:
a- if theres only one school in a "group" (so simply theres no group but one school)and when it wins - it will get 100 votes for its presentation.
b- if there two schools 100 votes will be equally shared between those two and so on.
9- line of duels. There is a line whitch shows an scheduled duels for each of day in advance. So lets assume we have today 1st may. that line shows duels for 02/05, 03/05, 04/05 along with info of participants.
Thats the main concept. Main thing is it have to be done by **19/04/2006**
Best regards,
Piotr E
