i need to convert html pages to database for retrieval on my website
before now, i was marketing the text (html) on CD using a programme called DTsearch <[url removed, login to view]> (a powerful search engine) that indexes all html pages and after compilation, i copy my data and DTsearch programme on cd where users can search and retrieve from the cd
there are 7 categories, separately compiled, laws, cases, precedents etc. all legal data each category is stored in separate folder but the same software is used to compile all
now i want to deploy the data to a website where subscribers can login, search and retrieve from the site, i am told by my site developer that i need to convert all to database and that brings me to freelancer because their price is over the top.
i hope this explanation gives you an idea of what i am looking for, any further questions pls contact me, pls note that i am not a computer trained person, i am a lawyer and understand just bare basics in computing
